    Southern Wesleyan University President Dr. Todd Voss gives an update on campus programs and projects during PickensUnited, an informal lunch gathering of nearly 40 elected and appointed officials and community leaders Jan. 30 at the university’s Central campus. Seated from left are Mark Eisengrein of United Way of Pickens County, Pickens County Council member Wes Hendricks, Pickens County Council Chairman Roy Costner, Pickens County School Superintendent Dr. Danny Merck, Chris Carroll of Liberty Chamber of Commerce and Elizabeth Edwards of U.S. Congressman Jeff Duncan’s office.

    Attending were members of the Pickens County Legislative Delegation as well as members of Pickens County Council, Pickens County School Board, city council members from various county municipalities and other community leaders. According to District 5 Rep. Neal Collins, PickensUnited is a joint venture involving the Pickens County Legislative Delegation along with elected and appointed officials in boards and other entities.

    Southern Wesleyan’s Advancement office hosted the event.
